GentleDental in Vietnam: 1967-1969
Dr. Silver then enlisted in the United States Navy and served our country from 1967-1969. During his tour of duty Dr. Silver was deployed to Vietnam from 68-69. During this time he learned how to allay people’s phobias. The men he treated were the bravest guys in combat, but not in the dental chair. In Vietnam Dr. Silver named his facility Gentle Dental where he provided 24-hour emergency treatment six days a week, offering the highest quality of care possible. Upon completion of service, he retired the rank of Lieutenant Commander at which time his dream of Gentle Dental was founded here on Long Island.
