Dr. Rocco Tedesco is a Long Island native, he was raised in Valley Stream and attended Stony Brook University (SBU) for his higher-level education. Dr. Tedesco studied applied mathematics and statistics with a minor in chemistry when SBU was ranked #5 in the country for their applied math program. While pursuing his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree he concurrently completed two master’s degrees in public health and business administration. His pursuit for knowledge and exploring the field of dentistry led him to research the use of diode lasers in dentistry for which he achieved two scientific publications. Dr. Tedesco graduated from Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine, School of Public Health, and College of Business, with a distinction in research, dental public health award, and Pierre Fauchard international dental award.
He then went on to complete a 1-yr general practice residency at St. Charles Hospital in Port Jefferson, NY, which focused on comprehensive dentistry training by dental specialists. During his time there he developed a passion for surgery and is now furthering his knowledge and skill set as a Fellow of the NYU Surgical and Prosthetic Implantology program.
When Dr. Tedesco isn’t focused on dentistry, he spends time with his wife, Dana, and his son, Leonardo. He enjoys being active in the gym, practices Muay Thai and leaves the summers for beach volleyball in Long Beach with his longtime friends from high school. He loves a challenge, so he is currently training to summit Mt. Rainier in August 2024.
